Ride the railway to SeaLyon Farm for an amazing outdoor Winter adventure aboard steam trains and horse-drawn sleighs!

A TOP 10 Winter Train Ride!
We're proud that Steam and Sleighs to SeaLyon Farm has been named a top winter train ride by Timeout and Trips to Discover.

Board your train at Sheepscot station for a 20 minute steam-powered ride through the winter wonderland of Alna to Top of Mountain, to board sleighs and wagons for your trip to SeaLyon Farm where a plethora of goods will be available for perusal and purchase (including their famous lavender products!)

At SeaLyon Farm, visitors will be able to enjoy a bonfire, hot beverages and food from local vendors, and other fun activities. The entire experience takes about 3 hours.

Ticket price includes all transportation (historic steam train, extended horse-drawn sleigh ride, and tractor wagon ride) as well as parking at Sheepscot. All food, additional refreshments, horse-drawn wagon rides, and other farm products are sold separately by SeaLyon Farm and their partners.

Board your train at Sheepscot station for a steam-powered ride through the wild pine forests, farmlands and hamlets of the Sheepscot Valley to Top of Mountain where you'll hop a short wagon ride to complete your journey to Alna's famous lavender farm.

At SeaLyon Farm, pick your own lavender during the setting sun, peruse a plethora of lavender-themed goods, dine on farm fresh meats and other goodies from Wicked Tater, take a horse-drawn wagon ride around the farm, and partake in other fun activities.

Afterwards, we'll all return back to Sheepscot station where you'll want to explore our railyard, examine our displays, and peruse our gift shop. The entire experience takes just under 3 hours.

Ticket price includes all transportation (historic steam train and tractor wagon ride) as well as parking at Sheepscot. Dinner, refreshments, lavender stalks, horse wagon rides, and other farm products are sold separately by SeaLyon Farm and their partners. Note that due to the nature of this event, wheelchairs can not be accommodated.

The Wiscasset, Waterville & Farmington Railway located at Sheepscot station is where you can enjoy a steam-powered ride through the wild pine forests, farmlands and hamlets of the Sheepscot Valley to Top of Mountain (SeaLyon Farm) where you'll hop a short wagon ride to complete your journey to Alna's famous lavender farm.



Experience an unforgettable fall day on the Sheepscot Valley Narrow Gauge with a visit to SeaLyon Farm.

Board your Pumpkin Pickin' train at Sheepscot station (97 Cross Road, Alna) for a 20-minute steam-powered ride through the wild pine forests, farmlands and hamlets of the Sheepscot Valley to Top of Mountain where you'll transfer to a tractor-drawn hay ride to the pumpkin patch at SeaLyon Farm.

At SeaLyon Farm, you'll be able to go into the patch to pick your very own pumpkin(s) to take home while participating in other fun fall activities. Pumpkins are priced by size and can be purchased by cash or card at SeaLyon Farm after you pick. Board the hay ride with your perfect pumpkin in-hand for your return trip to Sheepscot. You can either sit with your pumpkin on the train, or if it is very large, put it aboard to pick up when the train arrives at Sheepscot. The entire experience takes just under 2.5 hours.

Ticket price includes the historic steam train, hayride to the Farm, as well as parking at Sheepscot. All pumpkins, food, additional refreshments, horse-drawn wagon rides, goodies, and other farm products are sold separately by SeaLyon Farm and their partners.
